Case Study: Building an Automated Pipeline for FIU Enforcement Action Monitoring

Challenge

Regulatory bodies and FIUs publish enforcement actions and fines on their websites in diverse, unstructured formats — making it difficult for compliance teams to stay updated without manual effort. These data points are often crucial for understanding counterparty exposure but are rarely captured systematically.

Solution

We developed a prototype pipeline that crawls FIU and regulatory websites, identifies relevant enforcement publications, and extracts key details such as entity names, fine amounts, and regulatory context. The system is designed to handle variability in formats (PDFs, web pages, press releases) and supports multilingual parsing.

Impact

Though still under development, the pipeline already demonstrates strong potential for automating the collection of critical public data. It lays the groundwork for broader integration into Nevora’s public data aggregation tools, helping compliance teams surface risk insights that would otherwise be missed.
